Works pretty well and is easier to sleep with than my watch. You do have to give it about 5 minutes to sync in the morning when you take it off, but that's not hard. Reasonably accurate, too.
The syncing seems slow and inconsistent to the point where I wonder if it's ever going to sync in the morning, and then it finally does. The docs say that the best action is immediately setting it to charge after waking up, and I guarantee you that's a great way for it to never sync because it goes to sleep and only wakes up when unplugged.
Also, for a screenless device, I want to see live HR on the Garmin Connect app dashboard. It should also record steps taken at night. It should do a better job of detecting sleep/naps, especially for a dedicated sleep monitoring device.
I bought this product about a year go, to track sleep metrics, I have a complex neurological issue and sleep is incredibly important. I have been nothing but DISAPPOINTED With this product for the price. First the band is incredibly itchy, No matter how often I wash it, Typically after 2-3 nights. The Device also randomly disconnects from my phone and has to be re--paired. Loosing the data from the night before. Additionally, the sensor moves alot and doesnt stay in contact with my skin unless you have band really tight, which goes back to the itcy part.
I have since really stopped using the sensor and gone back to my garmin watch, as its reliable and gives me the data I need. I was hoping this product would preform since it was an expensive addition, and be more comfortable then sleeping on my watch all night.
I bought this when it first came out, but I have to randomly reconnect every once in awhile. There is not a solid reset button, so resetting is a challange. I don't like the fact it does not record sleep outside of the scheduled set sleep times. I sometimes fall asleep on the couch and then migrate to my bed, but it will only record one event. Usually the shorter sleep interval on on the couch. There is real oppurtuntiy for this to be a great device, (hopefully with future updates). The band is super comfortable to sleep with and the battery lasts a decent amount.
It either works seemlessly, or loses connectivity and you have to delete and reconfigure it (which is a huge pain).
Reconfiguring it is a pain. It sometimes autosyncs, and sometimes you have to go in the app and force sync. Sometimes it completely disconnects even though it still shows in the app, you have to remove it and forget the bluetooth connection and start over, losing any readings in the process.
Also, sometimes it will warn you the battery is low, and other times the battery will just run out.
Disappointing. I own numerous Garmin products and this is the only one that doesn’t meet Garmin quality. All instructions followed to the letter. Worn according to directions. I get little to zero metrics from it. My Fenix 8 pro alone does a better job. Was hoping to get a little more sleep insight from this. Hopefully they push an update that will better its functionality. One can hope.
