Great multiport hub. Its biggest shortcoming is that it doesn't come with a power adapter. I had to buy one, which increased the cost considerably. Other than that, it does what it's advertised: it powers my laptop, charges my phone, and connects to my monitor without any issues. I like that it's small enough to travel with, unlike the other docking stations. I'm unhappy that it doesn't come with its own power source, and the laptop's power adapter is underpowered as, according to the user manual, when the multiport hub is connected to a 65W power adapter, it delivers only 45W, while it requires a 90W power adapter to deliver 65W to a laptop.
I needed something to connect my laptop to an ultrawide monitor, and also offer pass through charging, some useful ports, and to not cost a ton. This fits all those bills very nicely, and is an actual piece of HP merchandise, which gives me a measure of confidence about its likely quality. So far so good
Great quality. Number of ports good enough for my home office.

Great product. Compact but with the ports I need to enable my home office. There are other products with more ports online but seems also with very short life, or even dangerous for the product connected, according to user reviews. I prefer to stay with this to make sure it is compatible 100% with my HP laptop. Product quality looks great. Hope this is the case in the coming years. If not, I will update.
Power hungry docking station uses so much power it doesn't allow enough power to charge the laptop when using HP recommended 65 watt power supply. It's also a docking station with no headphone jack, limiting the connections to the devices I enjoy using on my desk.
I was told specifically that this device would allow me to connect another monitor using the HDMI port on my HP laptop. Because of the type of USB-C port that my laptop has, it needed this hub to be able to use the HDMI port. It doesn't work!
HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet and regular USB ports work great. Documentation on how to properly use the USB-C type C passthrough port to power the laptop is seriously lacking.
