Plows my sandy loam garden bed easily. Also plows through the small roots too! Very powerful electric tiller.

The Model TJ604E does a very good job tilling soil. The biggest problem using this tiller is the constant need to extract Bermuda grass and common weeds from steel tines on right and left next to the gear box. Second small peeve is that the electric cord came apart from extension cord frequently. A locking male/female electric connection would be far superior. Duct tape next time to the rescue. My yard soil has not been properly spaded in years, so I expect that future years tilling in yard will be much easier.
Did a great job tilling my weed field so I can resod. Easy to store. Not to heavy. I found it was easier to pull it backwards then trying to work it forwards. It has plenty of power. Maybe could use a little more weight on the front end, and slightly wider wheels.

Tilled up a 24 foot by 10 foot garden in some hard clay soil. Tiller worked like a champ pulling out rocks and tree roots. Mixed in good dirt dead leaves and manure and peat moss in the process. Cut deep on the first pass.
The only issue is that the opening and slot for the power cord is too small for a high quality outdoor 12-gauge power cord to fit. So I had to loop the power cord around the handle to avoid putting stress on the unit's cord.
Found the tiller easy to control with minimal effort. It will bounce when you first make contact with compacted hard soil, but keeping it in place it will start to churn and break apart the soil easily. Due to its 27 lb weight and the tiller's rotating blades it is not very difficult to guide or re-position the tiller. Have used this tiller to till / cultivate a 300 sq ft area of hard clay soil. Took about 1.5 hour to go over the area twice. Very happy with this garden tool. Have future plans to use it in another area and will look forward to using it again.
Was skeptical about buying an electric tiller, but glad I did. Much easier than dealing with gas tiller and worked like a champ! My hand got cramped from having to hold the trigger and button down to keep it going, necessitating frequent rests, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. I realize this is a safety issue, but maybe a different design would make it easier on older hands? I used it in my daughter's yard initially to till up a garden spot and it churned through grass and roots without problem. The 2nd time I used it was in my garden which was all soil and worked great for that as well. I found it easier and quicker to have a 2nd person assist with holding the cord out of the way so I didn't have to keep stopping and making sure the cord didn't get caught.
The Sunjoe exceeded my expectations and worked very well for tilling my small (8' x 35') veggie plot. For the price of a rental I now have a tiller to use as I need.
