Great shredder for small spaces and home offices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in an apartment with limited space for a home office but still deal with confidential work documents that should be shredded (not to mention my own personal stuff like tax and bank documents!). I had been keeping years of papers that needed shredding in my closet because I couldn't get my act together to get to a store to drop them off for shredding but this sleek little shredder solved that problem! It's small but can still handle a pretty big stack of documents. It was really easy to assemble and I like that it's on wheels so that I can store it away easily when I don't need it. It's not too loud and it shredded like a champ. When I was done shredding I wheeled this into my walk-in closet and I'll keep it there (out of the way of my toddler and out of sight to reduce clutter) until I need it again. It's really handy and I'm pleased.

Perfect Shredder for the Home Office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our household has been looking for a shredder for a while that is small enough for the home but powerful enough for sensitive documents and home office needs. Both my spouse and I work from home one in the financial world and the other in cyber security. We are both very familiar with privacy needs and concerns and a cross cut shredder was the only kind we were looking for. When we started using this shredder we were both very impressed. We don’t need to shred books just average length documents. Maybe 50 pages max. This shredder never had a single issue! It is quick and does a great job! If you wanted really ugly confetti this is the tool for you! With small children in the house we are pleased with the safety warnings although I do wish there was a cover just to make sure little fingers never got a chance to get close. But that is really my only complaint! We use this shredder multiple times a day for several weeks and it has never had an issue seems to be a great product perfect for our needs!

Great for a small office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy about the efficiency and capacity of the Staples 20-Sheet Micro-Cut Commercial Shredder. I have yet to experience a paper jam or the frustrating wait time of being forced to shut down the shredder waiting for it to cool down. I use it in my small office where there are 2 people using the shredder. It has such a large bin that only find ourselves emptying the bin on a bi-monthly basis. We love the fact that we do not have to remove staples before shredding and that we can shred a large amount of documents simultaneously. Instead of a chore that we dread it has become a welcome diversion. It is extremely convenient when it comes to thick documents such as confidential power point presentation decks proprietary information and legal documentation. This is a welcome addition to our office and does not take up that much space.

Turning paper into compost

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was SO excited when I received this shredder! So thrilled in fact I skipped reading the instructions and couldn't figure out how to turn it on. :) Now that I have figured out the safety features and how to turn it on I have been looking for every opportunity I can to shred! I recently got into composting and this has been such a huge help adding "brown" material to my compost! The shredder's bin holds a ton and its super easy to take it with me and dump it into the compost. The shredded paper helps to add carbon soak up any excess moisture and the tiny bits means it will breakdown even faster! I've been shredding junk mail paper grocery bags even thin cardboard! I know this machine can heat up after a while and will need a cooling off period but I haven't run into that yet probably because I have been shredding everything as I find it! The shredded results would make great basket or packaging filler or even craft supplies. If my kids found it I am sure we would have an instant party with confetti everywhere! Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a serious shredder! It is super helpful for composting and creates very satisfying confetti.

Great addition to our home office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples 20-Sheet Micro-Cut Commercial Shredder has been a great addition to our home office. Both my husband and I have found it useful and efficient in shredding confidential documents. The set-up was straightforward and only took minutes. A lubrication page was included in the box to lubricate the blades before first use which we had never seen before. The overall look of the machine is clean and sleek and it fits nicely along side our desk. The micro cut produces confetti like pieces giving us peace of mind. The machine has held up to its 20-sheet capacity…making shredding jobs fast and easy.

Powerful and Easy Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder is just the right size for my home office. It's easy to wheel around and the drawer holds a fair amount of material. I wish I had a CD to shred! It will definitely come in handy when I need to get rid of a credit card - no more bending them up into little pieces! Overall I'm really happy with this product and have invited friends and family to come over and get their shred on.

Super Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shredder is a powerhouse in a small package. One of its best features is that it's so quiet. My kids love to help shred papers but our old shredder was so loud they were scared of it that isn't the case here. I also like that it shreds in tiny little nuggets no long strands someone could put back together. It fits right under the computer desk and it is easy to roll out shred and then put back.

Efficient and easy to store

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this shredder from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to review I thought it might be a bit too big. But I found it fits perfectly in the desktop computer tower space on my desk! This area has been unused since I have a laptop and I never know what to put there. Assembling and using the shredder was so simple. It only took a couple of minutes to unbox it and set it up and it was ready to use. Whenever I need it I just pull it out from my desk compartment plug it in and shred. I rarely have to dump the bin because it holds so much! I don’t have a huge amount of items to shred most of the time but I get some mail or documents that I don’t want to just throw away because there are sensitive numbers or information on them. This shredder is great for someone like me because it isn’t too large and is so quick and easy to use when I need it. I also liked that it is very quiet and shreds quickly. It doesn’t just cut in strips but into little pieces that would be impossible to read or reassemble so it adds an extra level of security. Overall this shredder has been so handy to have in the house for the occasional documents that I need to shred.
