This seems to be an excellent shredder at a fair price. I was sad to have to replace my old shredder which I’d had for 20 years but this one looks like it’ll do the trick.

Works like a gem but it heats too quickly with large loads of paper

The shredder really chews up the paper quickly but you need to be aware of how many sheets you put in at one time. The shredder shows down with 12-15 sheets and really heats up quickly shutting the cutter down. So keep the feed handful down to less than 5 sheets or show at one time. I’ve been able to bypass the overheat shutoff switch by opening and closing the catch basket

The 15-sheed cross-cut Multi-media shredder is smaller and lighter than our original one. However we do not shred much and it is easier to empty and it conveniently fits small space between a wall and a desk. It is reasonably quiet and seems to shred well. We are satisfied with it and recommend it for users who do not have a lot to shred.

I have used to shed about 15 bins full of paper in the last couple of weeks. For the last 6 bins it has been clogging up the teeth in the center and tripping the full sensor after 4-5 minutes of shredding. putting anymore that4-6 sheets at a time seems to cause problems where is is just pressing the paper and not actually shredding it. The paper then looks like cube steak when in the bin instead of shredded pieces. I have been using the lubricating sheets every day. I may be returning this as I have probably 3times as much to shred as I have already done.
