We employ adults with special needs. We had a need to keep them busy during slow production times. We used to buy one commercial shredder but our crew just shreds a few pages at a time. Decided to buy multiple smaller shredders so everyone could shred. This one overheats if you use it consistently. Also purchased basically the same shredder from other companies and have not seen an overheating problem on them.

The upper part with blades is VERY heavy and there is no opening or lip to lift off of the container . I am a Senior citizen with a painful thumb so it takes patience to lift top. I would tell people lid is heavy to lift

We replaced a Staples professional series 10 yo machine that was tired. I would have preferred to find another machine in the professional series but it is no longer available. The repacement works OK but is sig. louder than the previous one. In addition the shredded material is less granular than before (larger pieces). Time will tell how long it will last.
