[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my initial impression of the Staples 15 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder was positive. Classic black matte color decent sized but not so big that it won't fit nicely in my office. The sliding function that covers the slot where the paper gets inserted is a nice feature though as the parent it would be nice if there was some sort of locking mechanism to prevent access even further. Once plugged in it is simple and easy to use based on the buttons on the shredder and the short instructions that came along with it. I was able to shred multiple pieces of paper no problem along with an old credit card and some thicker cardstock. Very efficient for the function. The box states that it is capable of 20 minutes of consecutive shredding which is well more than I anticipate ever needing. The size of the shredded paper makes me feel comfortable that no one would be able to put together any information from the remains. The machine is about as loud as you'd expect from a medium sized paper shredder; not obnoxious by any means but not silent either. The first time I took the bin out to empty it and put it back in it didn't seem to catch correctly and I had to work it a little bit to get it fully aligned. Perhaps a bit of "operator error" but it feels like it should have fit easier. The bin itself is plastic but it is somewhat flexible and bends easily so if it was more firm that may not have been an issue. The main reason that I could not give this five stars is two minor issues. First the prongs on the plug were slightly bent coming out of the box so I had to adjust them before I could plug in the machine. Second one of the four wheels was missing the metal peg that inserts into the bottom of the shredder so I was unable to put all four wheels on it which really meant I could not put any wheels on it without it being off balance. That didn't seem like a big issue to me as I do not foresee a need to move the shredder around. Overall a good shredder.

Shreds wonderfully. Doesn't jam is quiet. The only issue is that the unit is very top heavy and the small castors don't roll enough to compensate if its pushed to move it... Falls over.

Efficient shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate the shredding capacity of this shredder its large bin size and that I don’t need to remove staples before shredding. It’s a great size and has wheels so I slide it into my closet behind hanging clothes when not in use. My only complaint was a moment of difficulty connecting the few pieces to assemble the shredder but once I added a little force it came together fine.

This shredder does a good job but shreds a a slower speed than our previous shredder. Also I cannot imagine it shredding 15 pages at a time. Figure on 3 or 4 at a time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the staples 15 sheet cross cut shedder for a couple weeks now and it works great! I usually put a few sheets in at a time. 15 seems like a lot and it goes a little faster with less sheets. The bin holds a lot and I can’t imagine needing to dump it very often. It feels pretty secure as far as how chopped up the papers get which is nice for financial information. We keep our shredder in the office and it fits in easily under a desk where I can roll it out a little when I need it. It’s very easy to use and doesn’t seem to be as noisy as some that I have used in the past. My favorite feature is the slide to close top which covers the slot for paper. It makes me feel a lot more comfortable with my curious toddler around. We will continue using it weekly I’m sure!
