Good paper shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This paper shredder does its job. It is a bit large for what I need to use it for but that also means that I don't have to empty it with any frequency. The size and price are not ideal for me because I don't need to use it with any regularity. When I do use it though it works quickly and is effective. I have no need for concern about safety because of the v-track blades. One drawback is the noise level. In my shared office space I avoid using it when the other person is in a meeting because it is clearly audible. Overall a good option for someone who will use it more frequently.
15 sheets? cannot even shred one sheet to completion. have wasted oil lubricant sheets separate oil on paper taken it apart nothing. refuses to work straight out of the box. what absolute and complete garbage. i am livid.

Perfect for at home shredding needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great shredder. This will satisfy all your at home shredding needs. First impression - I loved that there were minimal pieces to get it ready to use. The wheels went on really quick and easy. The top seemed way too heavy for the bottom part to support it but it ended up being totally fine. Actual Use - Super easy to use. Plug it in and it's ready to go. It is actually waiting for you to put paper in as it starts working when you place something in the slot without having to push. Any buttons. But does it really work? Yes!! I tested the 15 page theory and all the pages shredded without jamming. I also had an expired credit card and put that in there and it went fine. Checked the bin and the papers are very shredded! My husband actually commented at how quiet it is when it runs. In closing - if you're in need of an at-home shredder. This one is for you. The bin size is not so small that you'll be emptying every time and not so big that it takes up too much space.
My old shredder quit so I went for a medium-priced replacement. I'm pretty satisfied with this one. It cuts through everything I put in for average househouse usage (not business): several sheets or an entire envelope full of unwanted junk mail. The reservoir is a bit smaller than my last one but it simply slides out to be dumped. (Previously I had to disengage the heavy grinding mechanism turn it over while not making a mess and then dump it.) A light goes on to warn you that it is getting full. I never really minded the noise of the previous machine but this one is so quiet you'd never know it was on. All in all no regrets as long as it holds up over time.
I really like this shredder I really like the way you have it set up to start. You have to slide the door on top to open and to close it also it shreds the papeer up really small.
We haven't used it yet & that's the reason for only 4 stars. But the set-up is perfect for ease-of-use. The top slides apart at the insertion track to reveal the controls. The bin is easily pulled forward to empty it so you don't have to lift the blades & motor. Should be easy to maintain.
