Shreds well quieter than our last shredder and has a protective cover; however it is smaller than expected the wheels don't lock so it rolls and it is difficult to pick up and move -- no side handles or anything to grip.

Tested old CD’s and used gift cards to test and all were also shredded with ease. Great addition to any home office has the ability to shred whatever you need to destroy would recommend to anyone!

I have to say I love this shredder. To shred 20 sheets at a time not 8-12 I get things done fast. Quite compared to my last one that I paid $$$$ for. Cross cut that I love! Small pieces. On wheels so I can move it easy. This shredder is a keeper!

Powerful Micro Cut Shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Micro-cut Shredder has been the best addition to our small office. We have boxes of documents that need to be shredded every month and this machine has made that task so much easier. For starters it was very easy to use right out of the box. You can shred 20 pages at a time and it is super-fast. We have also shredded CD's and it is just as quick. The machine is a workhorse! The shredder has a safety slide top which is such a great feature. It also gives you a warning when it is time to empty the bin or if it is overheating. It produces micro-cut pieces for both paper and the CD's. This is a peace of mind when shredding confidential documents. We can shred stacks of papers and the bin size is large it does not need to be emptied each time. This is my favorite piece of office equipment and we no longer have to pay for a shredding service which is a bonus.

Both my husband and I have found it useful and efficient in shredding confidential documents. The set-up was straightforward and only took minutes. A lubrication page was included in the box to lubricate the blades before first use which we had never seen before. The overall look of the machine is clean and sleek and it fits nicely along side our desk. The micro cut produces confetti like pieces giving us peace of mind. The machine has held up to its 20-sheet capacity…making shredding jobs fast and easy.
