I bought this item because I have other Tripp Lite products that seem to be as old as I am and still running strong protecting my equipment. I've never had one fail yet. To back up their quality, they even provide insurance. Shopping was fast and quality was top notch, just as expected from a leader in the industry. My only wish is that they had a model with built in USB-C ports to fast charge my phone.

This is a awesome surge protector. I run the testing department for Silent-Aire USA. We test all sorts of transformers ,devices ranging from 4-20mA sensors to10VDC analog actuators and more. We have testing carts set up with PLC's and 24VAC transformers(120-24VAC) plugged into these surge protectors. One of my guys was testing a control panel with 120VAC coming from the surge protector. He had his phone and a GoPro camera charging via USB port form the surge protector. There was a short in the panel (120VAC and Neutral swapped) that tripped the surge protector. Everything plugged into the Surge protector was protected and no damage, but It did burn out the surge protector. TRIPP-LITE replaced the surge protector with no issues, easy as 1,2,3.

We could not be more thrilled with our purchase. Our camper is only 18 feet in length, so keeping organized is essential. The TRIPP-LITE Protect It! surge protector does exactly what we needed.

I bought this item for my daughter given she needs not only power plugs but USB plugs too. I have been told that the USB plugs are convenient and that she likes the slim design better than the other brands that are twice as wide. As for protection, I honestly don't know much about Joules and if this is a "catch all" for "brown outs".
