Garbage! GE used to mean quality.

I bought this fridge new less than 18 months ago. First the freezer started icing over, then the top shelf of the fridge started freezing food even on the warmest setting, now the fan in the freezer is making a horrible, pulsating worrying noise (think of the Tardis starting up). When I scanned the QR code to check the warranty, it said I needed to pay ~20% of the total cost to have some one to come out and check on it... before parts and labor. So much for GEs customer service, so much for their reputation for quality. Luckily I have a solidly built 1970s GE fridge that still works in my basement.

Not working properly

Food in the freezer is like a solid rock. While the refrigerator isn’t cold at all. Everything has mold on it and it leaks water…puddles of water in the top shelf.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad door seal

This refrigerator door pushes the freezer door open when you close it, and if you aren't careful your food will thaw out, and I just bought my refrigerator 4 days ago brand new still had the plastic on it. Who ever designed this GE didn't do a good job on seal design, it should have a much stronger hold, it doesn't matter if you gently close the fridge door the freezer will still pop open, and of course I did not know this was happening and everything at the front of my freezer thawed out, including my 2 containers of ice cream...I am not a happy house wife today !!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE refrigerator

The freezer is very small it was only supposed to be 1 inch smaller than the one I had the way the icemaker is installed there’s no room for food in the freezer also there is no sensor to turn the icemaker off anon that Hass to be done manually very disappointing

This model icemaker has a feeler arm that senses the level of cubes in the bucket and allows the icemaker to make ice or stop production when bucket is full.
