Best Garmin Edge Yet.

This is the best Garmin Edge device yet. I've been using the Garmin devices since 2016. It is so intuitive and easy to use. It loads fast and updates quickly. It does everything I ever wanted and more. I keep finding new uses for it. It is worth every penny (helps that it was on sale so the price was a bit easier to swallow). I have had no second thoughts about getting this.

New Live Segment Tracking is Horrific

I am upgrading from the Edge 1030. Overall, the 1050 is much faster and the screen is significantly better & more clear. One opportunity to improve…and this is a big one for me…the new segment live tracking screen is a material downgrade. To the extent, I have to ask who designed this, who approved it, did you show it to ANY cyclists before implementing it? The new screen is much larger, but on the live segment tracking they made the numbers MUCH smaller than on the old screen….why on Earth would you do that? I can’t even read them riding easy, forget about when I am going hard and need some feedback in terms of am I up or down. Absolutely terrible in my humble opinion.

Does everything needed, and more

This is my second Edge 1050; first stopped syncing with radar (both RTL 515 and Rearvue 820). This one seems to sync fine. Loaded with features and screens — more than I need, but that’s fine.

My new Garmin 1050 is amazing and I'm very happy with it. Quick response and great features. I'm still learning as it is such an improvement over the 1030.

I like the device overall, but I am having trouble loosing rides. I hit save and the ride disappeared 2x very frustrating because both were epic rides

1050 is the choice

I was debating with myself whether the smaller Edge 850 was preferable because its size and weight. I ended up buying the 1050 and I truly believe I made the correct choice. I love it, particularly for the great screen showing the Training Peak workout details. Super.
