Love my 1050! It does everything I wanted plus more. Ive got it set up to show me the gear I am riding in, my heart rate, powet mode my Specialized Levo S works is in etc. etc. Battery life is exceptional, it sends out a beacon text to my wife so she can tell when I start and where I am (I ride alone a lot), has a great crash notification feature (which works)…. The list goes on. For me, worth the $. You wont be disappointed.
after continued frustrations with my 2005 EDG1030 ,I BROUGHT 1050. Better than being in wonderland. So many bells and whistles which integrate so well. truly amazing
This Garmin has all the features you need including ones you probably didn’t know about. Easy to use, larger screen making it easy to see regardless of conditions, and battery life for days!

My son got me the 1050 for my bday. The screen is so vibrant/easier to follow than my 830. Very happy
Does what it is supposed to well and will last a long time. Screen is large, bright and easy to see. The unit is not a light for sure but definitely well built.

Solid Bike computer. But… can’t change the chime on my drink reminder. As it is now, it is just not sharp (loud) enough to hear especially at higher speeds. Would be nice to have a more noticeable sound, or the ability to choose from several.
I had a1040 solar that was great. However, 1/2 of any ride, the screen was invisible. Glare or shadow rendered the screen unreadable. The 1050 offers far more visibility. Is it perfect? No. The hazard warnings are too small to read unless you are 22 years old. If there is a way to increase the size of the pop up warnings, I haven’t found it yet.
