Got what I was looking for a better more visible screen both in sunlight and shades where the 1040 was hard to read especially for older eyes. Enough juice for 100% of my riding and I expect most others. Ui updates are nice
Worth the cost for many of the individual features

Worth the cost for the brightness and larger field size alone. Worth the cost for the improvements for intervals - top row continues to display when the lap button is pushed so I can see my power without the lap summary screen taking over the entire display PLUS the lap screen is now scrollable. Worth the cost for the map and Climb Pro improvements. When combined, it is a MUCH improved user experience. Highly recommended!
The Garmin 1050 is absolutely fantastic for cycling enthusiasts like me. It's packed with metrics that track every ride-speed, distance, elevation, power, and more. Pairs seamlessly with my radar for extra safety, spotting cars in real time. Lightweight, super accurate, and the navigation's spot-on. Boosts my rides with data I can actually use to improve. Absolutely worth every penny-best cycling tool I've ever owned!
Battery life is excellent, better than I expected! Maps are great, brigntness is a game charger for navigating. Only cons: screen is curved which makes screen protectors very difficult to install. The screen also scratches pretty easily

I bought this a month ago and so happy I did. Everyone in my group has one and was telling about how much better this gps was so I broke down and got!! Learning something new every day
This is the Final Boss of all Garmin computers. Unbelievably crystal clear screen. Easy to see, easy to use, and huge screen! Many features and types of cycling activities can be recorded with this device. The navigation feature is my absolute favorite.
