Great Cycling Computer, Steep Learning Curve

The Edge 1050 is incredible, bringing together all the sensors and providing a ginormous amount of information! The learning curve is fairly steep, and I haven't found great tutorials on how to use all the features yet. There are some basic tutorials on the unit itself, but it's so feature rich that a more in-depth treatment would be valuable. The display is very readable, even for old eyes. I like the electronic bell! The climbing displays are awesome! It's not cheap, but definitely worth the price of admission.

Finally got the 1050 after moving up from the 2011 model. I like all the new data, bigger screen, brightness and pairing it with the Varia is a life changer.

The screen is so bright that i can see it clearly with sunglasses on. Plus the size makes it easy to see all the data. Very happy with my purchase.

Love the new Garmin 1050

I bought the Garmin 1050 after my 1030 mounting tab broke off and I was waiting for a back casing to come in and wasn’t sure if I could fix it, I have had my 1030 for a while and have been very pleased with it so it was a no brainer to get another Garmin and the 1050 is awesome so far, I have only been using it for a couple of weeks will see if it holds up as well as my 1030. The 1030 is fixed so I’ll keep it as a backup.

Big upgrade from my old 840

Bought this to replace my 840. Battery life and brightness are amazing. New UI is nice and the virtual bell is cool.

Garmin 1 - Wahoo 0

I was a Wahoo user, and used to love my computer. But to be honest this is in a different level! The UI is so detailed, the screen is so good, the touchscreen is so receptive. The only downhill I see is that, you need to spend a lot of time setting it up in order to get all the info you really want, since have a lot of thing. Is a very light computer, the battery is increadable, I ride several times a week, also unsing it as a base computer for my indoortrainer, and I charge it once a week.
Other of the things I love is that it shows up the batery of all my sensors (Garming 1 - Wahoo 0).
I will give a 4.5, only becasue the time I need to spend on the set up, but other than that, GREAT JOB GARMIN.
