Awesome Bike Computer

I previously used the 530, and upgraded to the 1040. It is a great bike computer. I love the bigger display and the amount of data it provides. The touch screen with the ability to swipe and touch as opposed to button navigation of the smaller 530 is helpful while riding, particularly when on my mountain bike. I'm still exploring all of the features. The only challenge I have has been to discover how to use all of these features, which are many.

Was not a big fan of Garmin in the past. I've had Garmin, Wahoo and Karoo computers. Both Wahoo and Karoo were more user friendly but the new interface on the Garmin is great and the battery life is second to none. The solar charging has added 10-20 min an hour during use over the winter interested to see what it does in the summer

Finding extra features on my new 1040 to give me more insight to my training and my attempt to bring my body back to pre-incident days. I don't recommend getting hit by a car, but I do recommend this computer.

Works well sometimes

After using for one week it seems to lose contact with the cadence sensor during the ride. I put a new battery in the sensor but it didn't help. Two times it wouldn't power off which I guess is a known problem. If you want to live with these problems buy one otherwise buy a Wahoo at half the price.

Amazing tool

It has been the greatest addition to my cycling kit it has a lot of features and the real time stamina helps you to be in control of your power delivery while keeping up with the rest of the peloton it can be a little tricky to configure but it has a lot of features (more than l can handle at the moment) but once you get used to the screen configuration you'll realize that this computer is the best on top of the 100~hr battery with the solar charging feature. Accuracy is top notch
