This is the best backpack for commuting. The main compartment fits my 40oz water bottle, lunch bag, umbrella, small toiletry bag, and jacket or workout clothes. The side pockets are easy to access and secure. The front pockets give excellent storage and style. The bag itself is lightweight, which is great when you are already carrying a lot of stuff. This was an investment bag, but most definitely a wise one.

Beautiful design but not durable

I absolutely love the style of this backpack. It’s sleek, professional, and I receive compliments on it all the time. I also love how many pockets and compartments it has, and the luggage sleeve on the back is a great feature—especially for travel.
I’ve had the backpack for about three months and use it for work approximately 2–3 times a week, so it’s not being used every day. Unfortunately, I’m already seeing wear on the zippers, which is disappointing for a backpack at this price point. I’ve owned less expensive backpacks that held up better in this area.
I also used the side water-bottle pocket only once, and the elastic immediately started to unravel. I’ve included photos showing the wear.
Overall, I really love the design and functionality of this backpack, but I expected better durability, especially considering the price. The style and features are great, but the quality of the zippers and side pocket are disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect fit!

I wanted a new bag, I have been carrying laptop totes for the last 14 years. This backpack is perfect! Fits everything and more. Lightweight, stylish and takes the pressure off one shoulder from my heavy laptop tote.

Finally the perfect travel backpack! The generous size, easy attachment to your roller bag and padded laptop compartment make it practical. The origami inspired design and high quality materials make it easy to looks pulled together when traveling. I can't wait to take my first trip with this bag!

Sturdy and well-designed backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the Lux and Nyx Origami 16-inch Laptop Backpack just before a work trip! Color me pleasantly surprised at how many useful compartments this bag has within its really cute design! The front folds hide two pockets, one deep and one shallow for keeping secure items and items you need right away, and the origami fold also doubles as a large pocket for a water bottle or anything you need within reach. The laptop pocket is cushioned and could easily fit a laptop larger than 16 inches, if you ask me. I also appreciate how comfortable the straps are, they’re cushioned for heavier loads and obviously adjustable, like most backpacks. The back of the bag has a luggage strap so you can easily travel with this bag as a carry on or even a personal item. All in all, Lux and Nyx designed a well-made backpack that is not only great looking, but seems sturdy and durable. I’m excited to keep using this bag for work and personal trips!

Best Backpack for Work, Travel & Even Diaper Bag

I love the modern, sleek look and thoughtful, functional design of this backpack! I've used the matching belt bag daily for years and am so excited to have the backpack now. As a busy, working mom who is always on the go, this backpack helps keep me organized and put together while still looking stylish, whether I'm out and about with my kids, going to a work meeting or traveling. The hidden zippers in the front pocket are my favorite and provide easy access to my phone, keys, etc. I really like the unique design and that it's not the "same bag" everyone else has. I get so many compliments on it and everyone always wants to know where I got it. Supporting women entrepreneurs is important to me so I love that this brand is a woman-owned business and that the origami design of this bag is authentic to the founder's heritage!
