I love the ability to use a 6x10 hoop and having the jump threads cut however, my machine has several things that have gone wrong within the first couple of months of ownership. The jump thread cutter works occasionally, the needle threader handle has cracked off making it unusable and it has begun to shred the thread. It goes into the repair shop after using it for 3 months.

Try to not fall in love

I was beyond myself when I got this machine for Christmas. However my heartbreak in just two weeks has me speechless. I didnt have it out of the box a day when the files I moved started to have this error. I messaged sellers and complained and they all desperately tried to help me until I found others with the same issue on youtube. Come to find out several people are having the same issue and it wasnt any fault of creators. Within a week the machine started to tell me every file needed a larger embroidery frame and the only way to bypass this was to add a period in the file and just not stitch it. The computer issue breaks my heart because I am in love with every inch of this machine. Please Please fix this software issue!!!! I would love considering buying another once the bugs are worked out.

Bobbin thread

I have only had the machine a short time. Every time it does the automatic cut I have to redo the bobbin thread because it won’t pickup. I spoke to my dealer but got no resolution. For the price it should work as correctly

limited to preset colors

it took 16 different colors and turn it into 9 -- I spent days digitizing a dog image only to have the colors changed and grouped. Support states you are limited to the very small selection of colors on the software and you can not turn off the color grouping

Needs technical improvements

This machine is supposed to connect to the Internet with no problems. Called support as it was not connected to the Internet. They said it runs on a lower speed than a lot of homes are I called my provider. They said I could run a lower speed for that machine, but when I tried to connect it, it still would not connect. Obviously this machine is dated and its capability to connect to the Internet. Most homes are at 5G and this machine runs at 2.4. You can get your Internet to run a 2.4 fourth machine, but it still won’t connect properly.

New machine, lots of fun

I am enjoying exploring my new machine. It is easy to use, and it sews well. I have not yet gotten into the Brother on line designs, but I have used some of the designs installed in the machine, and they sew well, although there are very few of them that I would use. The machine was easy to set up, despite the limitations of the manual that came with the machine. There are, however, a number of on-line videos from independent dealers, etc. which help alot. The only flaw so far with the stitching is with some of my threads that shred and need to be re-threaded.
If I were to list the things about the machine that I don't like, they are: there is no basting stitch, which I would use a lot. The machine "noises" that signal changes, don't really differentiate, so I don't know for sure that I need to do a color change. Most of the time the initial thread sinks to the bottom of the fabric, but sometimes it does not. The largest hoop is 6 X 10 which eliminates some of the designs I already own.
All in all, I am happy with the machine and I am embroidering every day.
