A great machine!

I love this machine. After years of wanting an embroidery machine I finally broke down and bought the NQ1700E. I have several other Brother machines so trusted the Brother name. I was concerned as a first time user that I would have a tough learning curve but it is extremely easy to learn. It creates beautiful designs! My first design was a collar for a dress and I couldn’t have been happier with the way it came out. It is the same across a heavy fleece blanket down to a fine batiste.

I am a beginner in the world of embroidery. I initially spent countless hours on You Tube and the majority of the machines that stood out were all Brother. As a result I chose the NQ1700E because of the hoop sizes, the features and the price. I have been working on a labor intensive embroidery project with hours of stitching and continue to love this machine! I would highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful machine! We are newbies to embroidery. We first got the 435 smaller machine with Disney designs on board. The hoop was only 4 X4 and was great to get started. We got totally hooked on embroidery and wanted larger hoops, auto jump thread cutting, WIFI transfer, and a host of other cool features. This fit the bill and works flawlessly. It was well worth the investment. I'm running out of clothes to "draw" on... lol. Anyone want a 435 to get started?

Shredding thread

I’ve run unwaxed dental floss through the upper threading mechanisms. I’ve cleaned the bobbin area, checked the needle plate for dings, changed the needle, changed the thread upper and lower, put the thread on a stand, used big cones and small ones. My nq1700e is only 4 months old with 1,734,500 stitches. Very Very disappointing that I can't use it. Put in a complaint ticket to brother's no answer.
