Chop-N-Slice Board (Model # 214)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid hard maple edge grain constructed cutting board. Prior to using you'll have to oil it with Boos Block food grade mineral oil and finish with their Boos Block board cream. Suggested to treat once a month and if using more frequently treat it more. It's reversible so you have more space to use while cutting/chopping things. Natural wood gives so this board is great for your knives. I use a damp towel under it to prevent it slipping and sliding on counter top. It measures 20" long, 15" wide, and 1-1/4" thick, with rounded corners. Never submerge your wooden cutting boards in water, just wipe it down and let it air dry. I love that it's made in the U.S.A. and is top quality. Looks great in my kitchen and will last a long time.

Best All Around Cutting Board

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great size, durability and perfect thickness to handle tough jobs but still be ready for a beautiful presentation.
My wife and I enjoy this one a little too much. We even already said one side belongs to me for grilling and the other side for her to make her charcuterie board!
Actually works out well. We packed this for our family trip during Memorial Day weekend, and within minutes she had this ready for our guests when they arrived.
It does come with lubricants to maintain and ensure the lifetime of this board so make sure to read your instructions. Every household should have one.

Strong and sturdy cutting board

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted a Boo's chopping block, because of rumors that it's one of the best boards out there.
I was excited when I got my board, along with the care kit. I've never had a cutting board that needed maintenance before using, but I've found that it is crucial. To prevent the board to Crack and break, your have to wax the board and then seal it with the lotion. I've heard horror stories of other peoples boards splitting because of not prepping the board.
Overall the chopping block is great! It's big, sturdy, and doesn't move around when I'm cutting food on top of it.
I think my only con to this lovable chopping block is that because it is so heavy, it makes washing it off in the sink a more difficult task.
If you properly care for this cutting board and treat it right, it will last you a very long time!

Super easy to clean before i was using a junky plastic one this one is a game changer for sure! It is pretty heavy which has pros and cons all in all great product!

Great kitchen tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] John Boos is one of the legendary brands in the kitchen. I'm glad that I finally got one. So fancy! I prefer wood boards for most things. Food doesn't slide around and they're easier on your knives (I still use a plastic board for raw meats). This is a solid, well made cutting board. It should last a long time with proper care and maintenance (hand washing and consistent re-oiling and waxing!). The board was fairly dry when I recieved it. Luckily I also got the John Boos maintenance kit which includes mineral oil, board cream, and an applicator sponge. I seasoned it for a few days until it wouldn't hold any more oil before using it for the first time. It's a good size for most uses. Could be a little thicker, but that would also make it heavier and more cumbersome. You can't go wrong with this cutting board.

Very nice butcher block

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cutting board is made out of quality maple and it is a very nice addition to any kitchen. It does take a little extra work to maintain this board but that's only because it's real wood but it's definitely worth it.
