I bought the units with 4, 6, and 8 outlets. But not all at once, I bought the isobar 4ultra first, I was having problems with my Verizon cable service restarting reset every 8 or more hours. so I thought I was having electrical problems. I install it and later had the same problem. Come to find out the cable box does a reset once in a while and I can't control that as per Verizon.. Ok no big deal, I just have to reset the channel.. BUT what I did see when I installed the isobar 4ultra. My flat screen picture was much better, not a lot but i'd say about 10 to 15 percent better picture. So it does work and then I bought other units for me and my family for Christmas presents. Seeing is believing and I saw.. If I could rate it a 10 I would.

I recently had solar panels added to my home. The power company informed me after turning on my solar, that my house was at the end of the power line and that any surge on that line would head my way. I had also read a review of Isobar surge protectors in which the surge protector was fried but everything plugged in to it survived. My freezer, refrigerators, computers and all my TV's now plug into Isobars. Surge insurance ... done!

I had some issues with my first unit and called the tech support and they replaced it with another brand new unit with out any hassle. I would definitely buy Tripp-lite product again and highly recommend them.

I use the isobar 4-outlet surge protector for a few simple electrical appliances, including my alarm clock which has high quality sound capability. I wanted to surge protect my electrical appliances and decrease line noise for my alarm clock. The sound quality has improved, and I like the isobar-4-outlet surge protector. The only drawback with this item is the length of the power cord - 6 feet. It is too short. I could not find any other TrippLite surge protectors with a high EMI/RFI rating and a long power cord with 4 outlets. A longer power cord would be hugely beneficial, as you can't use a power extension cord on a surge protector. The power cord should be at least 3 meters long. A 6 foot power cord is on the shorter side and inadequate.
