I’ve been using this for about a month. It connects quickly and stays on my body well. Being able to wash the strap is a big plus. I don’t need the running metrics, so this has been a great alternative to the more expensive HRM.
Love it. Been using it to train and it doesn’t chafe, stays in place, and barely feel it during my run. Highly recommend if zone training is your thing
I bought this product a few days ago, and it gives good data. Only gripe is you have to have a garmin watch for it to go to your phone. Works with a concept 2 RowErg well.
Set up was originally clumsy but after starting over and removing past profiles on my Garmin Edge 1050, iPhone 17's Bluetooth and reinstalling the Garmin Connect app, it seemed to work as expected. I set the green LED to always blink 3 times while wearing it to allow a better visual indicator as to when the device is powered on. Just remember to remove the pod from the strap when you are finished so it goes back into sleep mode quickly (usually 30-60 seconds). I generally rinse my strap off in warm water after each ride as opposed to machine washing it. It was an update from the original Garmin Dual in which I lost the pod after a race (left it on to of the car as I drove away). The new pod is a little bulkier but I do like the LED feature more as well as the built in battery removal tool instead of that old torx tool I could never find.
I bought the HRM-200 3 months ago for my Fenix 5 Plus and it worked great - until it didn't anymore. It still works just fine with my Peloton bike, but no longer will connect to the Fenix. Even more aggravating is that it does connect to "Garmin Connect app" and shows connected there. I will call Garmin support tomorrow to sort it out.
