HRM 200 pairing with Venu watch - Good Luck!
on February 15, 2026

The hrm200 was ridiculously difficult to pair with the venu 2s watch. Took me an hour, much advice from AI, and only paired after I tried again after an hour long bike ride. If I had to do it again, frankly, I wouldn’t. You should not sell products that don’t work well together. Really ruins the Garmin reputation. If you think this is an isolated incident, you should do even just even a little social media research. PS Still anxiously awaiting my watch to work with Google Maps on iOS too….another major disappointment. I would love to to use the watch for walking turn by turn directions.

Easy HR monitor
on February 16, 2026

I needed a new HR monitor. Going with Garmin seemed the way to go as my experience with Garmin has always been good. Here are the positives. First, it pairs easily with my Garmin Fenix 7 watch and my Elite HRV app. I am 6' and 180lbs. The M-XL fits fine with plenty of adjustment and is as comfortable as expected. It seems like the battery life is good based on the specs. And, it seems to function flawlessly. My only negative is when using with my Elite HRV app is most days the app says the signal quality is poor. (to be fair It isn't on their list of suggested HR monitors), but makes me wonder if there are any signal issues with my watch I'm just not aware of. All in all it seems to be a solid product.

Very satisfied

It would’ve been a big help to me if, when I completed the steps required to connect the HRM to my Venu 4 it was CONFIRMED that the HR data was in fact originating from the HRM
I had to assume it was connected and functioning correctly

Excellent HRM

Guys when it comes to measuring your HR with accuracy this is it! I have used many many devices before but this one is spot on - whether you are training to climb a big intimidating mountain, or training to do Ironman, or even a marathon or long bike ride at measured pace. This is it. I loved how it took my data to give my accurate assessment on performance, recovery time, intensity and feed data into Garmin Connect+ or Strava or whatever scientific way to measure power, intensity, recovery etc. Even sleep..

so far, so good

Purchased the HRM200 because my Garmin Instinct 2 Tactical/solar does not reliably record my HR when I an exercising, especially when cycling. This is really annoying because it adversely affects other parameters like HRV and VO2.
It required no less than 20 attempts to synch with my watch which was frustrating; it synched easily to the Garmin app and provides an accurate HR measurement, so I am now getting improved HRV and VO2 indices.

Doesn’t work. Keeps showing red light and doesn’t measure heart rate accurately. I bought it for tracking when I row. It doesn’t work.

I bought it less than a year a month ago and this is my second HRM 200, that said this one has not worked at all. I have done all the recommended things to connect it and have not done so. Very disappointed!

Took a minute to get it connected to Garmin EPIX watch but seems to work well. More consistent reading than previous strap
