RTFM

Had trouble getting the heart rate to display on the head unit, even though it said it was connected. Frustrating. THEN I read the manual. The HRM 200 defaults to a secure connection but my older head unit can only use an open connection. Once I changed it per the instructions all was good.

Nice on paper

Called Garmin before purchase to confirm compatibility with my Garmin Edge 530. However, it gave erratic results the 4 days I used it; generally going immediately from +120 bpm to 60 or even 36 in full effort or simply peaking at around 145bpm and slowly dropping down to 60 while effort increasing! I sent it back for exchange which Garmin was very nice about. When replacement arrives I'll know for sure if it's the HRM 200 or Edge 530. I have worn the first HRM by Polar in the eighties Accurex, never had this issue before.

Easy to use and more accurate readings

This is an inexpensive way to get a better heart rate reading during strenuous workouts. I found that sometimes when my heart would be pounding, my Fenix 7 wasn’t picking up my heart rate very well. After using the HRM200 my readings are a lot more accurate and am getting better measures of my fitness level. It’s simple to use, stays in place during exercise and easy to clean. I haven’t had any issues with connectivity. So far so good, but 2 months of use and 0 complaints.

Was expecting better

I was expecting better, the configuration with the button is confusing and elaborated.
Another thing that I don’t like, is that I cannot see the HR in the phone display or in Garmin connect.
I can only see on Zwift when I same in the training course
I can see the resting HR.
I am not fully satisfied with the purchase.
Thank you!

Great fit, no frills, just right!

Easy to adjust and use. Comfortable and accurate. I needed to get closer HR readings post-ablation for PVCs. The wrist-based readings are okay for most things, but for training I need more accurate readings. This does the trick without adding features I don't need. It's easy to put on and wear and easy to clean when needed.
