Sutter health installed an Abbot Pacemaker on me 2 weeks ago; I wanted to monitor my heart rate. and ordered a HRM 200. My best efforts failed to get the HRM to connect to Garmin Connect or to my Garmin 830 GPS. I then went to Google AI for an answer. Whow!! I’m lucky that the HRM cannot detect the pacemaker’s signals; for the HRM’s transmission could have disrupted the pacemakers electrical impulses to my heart.
Comfortable to wear, zero chafing. I love the rechargeable feature - no more opening the battery case and then finding it leaked later! It connected to all my devices without any trouble, and provides reliable and accurate data. I wish the light was a little more concealed because it's super awkward, as a woman, to have a flashing light visible through clothing right at the end of my sternum. Overall a quality and useful product!

Don’t machine wash it

Hasn’t really worked since I washed it. Heart rate is all over the place, which wasn’t the case before it was washed.
If you're not getting a heart rate display on the head unit even though it says it's connected, make sure you configure the transmission type on the HRM 200, either Open or Secure. Read the manual.
I bought the device, paired it with my phone and nothing. I’ve used an HRM pro for years and it finally died this doesn’t work at all. I thought I had a dud so I got a replacement but same issue. Does not register heart beat at all.
I bought this gem to use with my watch. I can connect it to the Bluetooth of my garmin watch and it immediately flashes red with a connection issue; the Ant+ seems to work. I ordered a Coros hrm and that works fine over Bluetooth with my garmin watch. I would expect the garmin hrm to work better with my garmin watch but that is not the case.
I had the original Garmin HRM and they would not last very long. I then moved to Wahoo and had a worse experience. I had given up on them for a while but wanted to get back into it. The hrm 200 is a big improvement over the older designs. The strap is comfortable and easy to use. Having a detachable sensor unit is great. I can wear the strap without turning the unit on and save the battery. So far it has worked great.
