Best cutting board I've owned

The board is beautiful and everything about it looks perfect. You can tell just by the look and feel of it that this is something that will last a lifetime or longer if properly cared for. I am extremely satisfied with my cutting board and will be recommending this brand to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first used this cutting board I knew it would be good. The board has a good amount of weight to it so need to worry about when you are chopping some food and it cracking or breaking. It is so strong and I was really surprised at how thick it was. The board is big as well and gives you more than enough room for prepping. It cleans so well after your done prepping your food too. I love that it has a oil and brush to keep it revived and new looking for long term use. I look forward to keeping this cutting board with me for a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Boos Blocks 18" x 12" Rock Maple cutting board is a sturdy heavy duty 1.25" thick chopping machine. It has a beautiful light maple color and should provide a lifetime of use. This model has no groove so it is best suited for food that's not so wet but it's heft makes for a very stable cutting surface and safe for all your favorite knives.

I have had many chopping blocks but the quality and light weight is very impressive but the icing on the cake to this product, is the history of this company and I have to say I’m a proud owner! So far I love using this cutting board and I’m able to chop many item with so much room to do so and both sides are usable. I’m very impressed that it comes with instructions on how to care for your chopping block. It come with a one year warranty, Oil and a cream to seal the surface! Just like a piece of furniture, it will stay beautiful as long as you care for it.
* to wash and care for your chopping block you must NEVER place it in a dishwasher and that’s with any wooden block. Just like any wood furniture you never want to leave water on wooden furniture because it will cause damage. If you follow the instruction on how to care for your block it will definitely last you for many years.

Heavy, no groove, came with oil and butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this about a week ago and have used it several times. It surprised me when it showed up with a bottle of mineral oil and wood butter. I've owned several wood cutting boards in the past and never oiled or buttered it. But, apparently doing so really extends the life of the board so it was nice the company included these in my order. The board is heavier than most its size, and thicker, too. Someone with a weak hand grip or arthritis in their hands would struggle with it. And no groove around the edge to catch any juices. Overall, it seems to be of excellent quality. I would prefer a groove for juices, but since they included the oil and butter to maintain the board, I'm making do without the groove.

Nice heavyweight cutting board, not for beginners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second heavier-weight cutting board, and so far I'm pretty happy with how it's presented. It's large and definitely heavier than bamboo boards, but I'm sure higher-end boards can get even heavier than this. I use this primarily for fruits and vegetables. The wood has give, so it's good for your knives.
It's good quality for the price. The board is not beginner-friendly and needs to be babied and maintained well else the wood will dry out and split, unlike your average plastic boards. It takes a bit of work but the oiling and waxing process can be rewarding and fun. The surface of the board is a bit rough- if that bothers you, you might want to lightly sand it over.

Beautiful Maple Board

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cutting board is a beautiful addition to ANY kitchen counter. The surface cutting area is large enough for a large steak and thick enough that you don't have to worry about it feeling too flimsy for your best sharpest knives. I know that if you take care of such a well crafted board properly that it will last you for years to come. The fact that I also got the care kit oil also has me at an advantage to do the right thing by this beautifully made board that has just the right wood texture and smoothness to it. It also has a nice weight to it and I don't worry about it slipping off my surfaces while using it. I would highly recommend this as a great Wedding or Housewarming gift also!
