Great controller between standard and Xbox pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the item for free from influenster for an honest review.
First, let me say that for my Xbox series X, I own and use the Xbox pro controller and the standard controller it comes with and will be comparing this to those two. Now although those are wireless controllers and this is not, I am not going to knock anything off or use that as a comparison as this is marketed clearly as a wired controller.
Now then, I out this controller somewhere between the Xbox standard controller and the the pro. It has some features of the pro but not all but this does have some features of it's own.
The durability and feel seems to be on par with the standard controller. It is slightly lighter but not to the point it feels cheap. There are two switches on the back side that adjust the triggers. You can have it set to where you have to press it all the way in, or closer to what the bumpers feel like where you barely have to tap it.
There are also two buttons on the back that can be programmed to be any of the 4 standard buttons(ABXY). The only feature I would to see is have those be programmable to screenshot and/or record. Using it as the a/b buttons could be useful in certain racing games or games where you have to press and hold for considerable amount of time but for standard shooters, don't see much use. You can also just disable them I believe.
Now the software, I would like to ding it but I think it will be upgraded. The instructions manual says to download turtle beach control center but it's not supported. I went on a hunch and downloaded the afterglow software and it was recognized and updated the firmware. The software is easy to use and you can change the colors on the controller very easily. You can have it pulse different colors or be solid. I find the pulsing to be distracting but to each their own.
Unlike the Xbox pro controller, the parts are not replaceable without taking the whole thing apart so it's more similar to the standard controller in that regard.
Overall, I am happy with this controller. I think I am going to use it as my main controller for my laptop since it has to be plugged in and I would not be far from my laptop if I use it.
I also noticed I got this device before it was launched as on the website it is still on pre-order so the software may be updated before then. Today is May 5th and I have had this device for over a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually a very comfortable controller, having the adjustable trigger stops is nice depending on the different games I’ll play. Works well, and being plug and play I can move it back and forth between my console and my pc

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Turtle Beach XB Afterglow Wave Wired Controller – Black is a solid, mid-range option offering impressive precision, comfort, and customization for its price. Its analog sticks and triggers respond smoothly with minimal input lag, making it suitable for competitive play, while the ergonomic design with textured grips and well-placed buttons ensures comfortable use over long sessions. Cute and nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank Influenster for give my try it . I had stick drift. To be fair, it got a LOT of use during that time, I can't say that it was worth .I should have just paid the little bit extra for a pro controller, or maybe something with hall effect sticks. It's a cute controller, and when it works, it was flawless and gave me zero problems. Very light, comfortable, and responsive. .. but I expect more than 6 months out of a controller before it goes out on me.. so i'm still giving it a rating of mid
