Helpful new features!

I've used some of the new features already which are great. The bell is very loud and helpful when on a trail. The reason for the 4 star rating is because this unit is slightly longer than the 1030 Plus and I have an integrated out-front mount for my flat handlebars and this unit has a very tight squeeze to get on and has scratched the decal. Just keep the length in mind when purchasing. Other than that, it's a great computer and I'm looking forward to using more of these new features!

I was concerned it would fit the most mount on my bike. Turns out it did.

I love Garmin products and have an Epic Gen 2 watch for triathlons. Just got the 1050 and wow!! Love all the extra features including the bell when I'm riding on a bike path. Great screen and great battery life!!!

Problems with Windfield IQ app and Segments

I have owned pretty well every high end Garmin computer over the last 15 years or so, and I find the 1050 a little “So So”.
I had the Connect IQ app Windfield on my Garmin 1040, and it worked well. When I configured the 1050, the Windfield app has NEVER worked. I have had several emails with the developer, and he keeps telling me I need a Firmware upgrade on the 1050. I have looked in the Connect IQ app on my phone, and there is a link to upgrade the firmware, but it is corrupt and goes no where.
Live Segments seems to be Hit or Miss, sometimes they work and sometimes not. The Segments Widget rarely works and only seems to show segments after I get home and connect the Garmin to the computer to download and charge.
Other than that, everything else works great.

while there is nothing actually wrong with the unit its just wayyyyyyy to heavy and the out front mount I have does not stick out far enough to use the unit
