Easier to use then ever.

At first, I was annoyed that it lost the solar capability over the previous model and a smaller battery but after thinking about it, I never had battery anxiety with my last one. Yes I have noticed that I need to recharge it more often but I have never been too low as to lose the battery mid ride. The simplicity of the operating system and new noises more then make up for a smaller battery life. Five stars.

I can read the numbers!

I upgraded from an 830 I've had since 2018. The new features are almost overwhelming. I think it will take me quite some time to work through all the things that differ from my 830. I am quite happy with the 1050. The touch screen is smooth and fast. I find profile setup improved and more intuitive. I can have many fileds and still read the numbers with a quick glance.

great bike computer

I've used the 1050 for about 2 months, moving up from the 1040. The only thing I don't like is the soft warning sound for the alarm. It's much different than the 1040 and I've already had cars come up behind me and I didn't hear the alert. Can a fix for this be sent out via an update? Thanks, Mark

Navigational Tool

I bought this. Computer as an upgrade from my 1030. I loved the new features and color. The climbing coach is a great features that adds challenges during the ride. Set up was an ease. I added a case to to protect the computer and screen protector to protect the screen. Because the computer is new, i am still learning some the features. It's a great computer to help navigate around on two wheels

Been a Garmin user for years… Bike pedals for power. Edge computer for tracking and GPS. HR strap. Connect…. I love Garmin and i finally decided to upgrade from my Edge 830 to the Edge 1050 and wow…. Incredible difference…. The display is amazing… the setup is easy… can see so much data while also GPS’ing…. Great views on climbs…. Love how i can see my gear positions and use of gears during workouts when analyzing in connect… it is just so awesome…..

Glitches and Corruptions

The unit has issues with received purchased content and unable to load to the unit using Garmin Express and also, several big rides that I recently completed; the fit file gets corrupted and unable to load to Garmin Connect, unable to repair file using tools available on the web and Garmin support unable to fix either issue.

Radar warning tone/volume

I’m dissatisfied with the tone and volume of the radar warning on the 1050. It’s a soft tone and I’ve already been surprised by several cars because I didn’t hear the warning. Please fix!!!
