great functionality, all the data I could want. I'm still learning how to best use all of the features. The only knock is that I am not particularly tech savvy so some of the flow from screen to screen is not intuitive for me. I've had various cycle computers over the last 50 years. The evolution has been amazing to watch. I shopped around quite a bit before I purchased. I'd recommend anyone looking for this type of product to do the same just to make sure they need all of the abundant features.

2 PCs and 2 different Apple computers wouldn’t recognize the device as connected so I couldn’t update it out of the box. Not acceptable
The 1050 is improved so far and beyond the 1030 that It’s misleading to call this model the 1050. This is orders of magnitude better in so many ways should’ve been the Edge 2000. Seriously, Garmin clearly listened to everyone’s complaints. I’m stunned at how good it is. Exceeded all expectations
This is my third Garmin cycling computer, I Imy last was the 810 and the power button had a rubber boot covering it and it wore off. Garmin gave me a 20% of a new product to replace it. The 1050 is nice I lite the size an the display and navigate through the screens is nice. The buttons are more protected than my old one. I have about 12 rides now and I really enjoy it.
The layout and interface on the 1050 is far superior to the 1030. Only 2 rides in, but I’m impressed. Also, Garmin’s new QR setup is makes it so easy to transfer data and settings from your old Garmin.
