Upgraded from an Edge 1000. The performance stats given during and after the ride has changed my riding. So much more capability that I’m still learning it all. Bigger screen is also nice while riding.

I really want to see a day when my Garmin can connect to the internet or not battle my Garmin watch for bluetooth update bandwidth. This is a solid update if your looking for beep and boops and updates about pothole every five second. If you must know every Segment and climb in the vicinity while getting hit up by text messages, etc. until your ready to just throw it onto the side of the road. The real letdown is when you can't upload your hard fought ride for whatever reason even though this things main just is to upload your ride. It's criminal how buggy these things are and how poor the updates are year after year. I just want something reliable that can tell me when to turn on time and then post it online. How hard is that?

I have been an Edge user for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed the Garmin Edge 1000. Unfortunately, the on/off button disintegrated...Garmin treated me well as a small contemsation - even though it was well out of warranty. I decided to purchase the 1050. WOW! What a significant upgrade. The screen is bright, the audio is terrific, and the various options are excellent. Using the old Alice in Wonderland comparison, I have gone from black and white to full color. Fantastic unit!!!
I didn’t realize what I was missing. My Edge 520 has been my trusted companion for 5 seasons, and it was great, by the 1050 is amazing.
Beautiful display, incredible maps, easy to use, and touch screen are some early highlights after inky one month of use. I can wait to learn more and race with it!
I bought my Edge 1050 three weeks ago as a step up from Edge 840. So far I'm really pleased with larger screen. I've enjoyed the audible notifications when followed our passed by a car or bicyclists using my Garmin radar tail light. I wish is allowed me to move my odometer reading from my 840.
I’ve had it about a month weather in New York hasn’t been great but love it so far. One thing I don’t love is using it with my Tacx trainer I like the iPad better.
