Too many update prompts!

I think I love my first ride computer, Edge 1050, but every time I’m trying to start or end a ride and in motion/a rush it’s prompting me for another update!!! Does it prompt me to update when I’ve sat down with the device & have reading glasses on? Ofc not! Try to start a ride… another update prompt.
It is doing everything I need it to do, really like battery life, visibility of screen is awesome ,ability to adjust data fields on different screens is great.
I purchased the Garmin Edge 1050 about a month ago. The features and functionality are so much more advanced and intuitive than my Garmin Edge 1030. I really appreciated the transfer of all my Garmin settings and preferences allowing set up to be a breeze. Love the turn-by-turn voice commands, the climb features, the color screens and the hazard notifications. Appreciate having an internal bell as an additional safety feature. Setting up profiles is so much easier with this new device. One challenging aspect was the USB cable sent with the device did not fit my computer. Downloading maps for device set up was time consuming. Purchase was a bit of an investment but well worth it.
Takes a little getting used to but I definitely enjoy the brighter screen and the ease of use. I wish it had more dedicated buttons on the side like the old Garmin. But still a great unit.
I am on my fourth 1050 and keep having it lock up on me. I am sure it has to be a glitch in my Apple products (MacBook Pro 16", iPhone 14 Pro). I am anxiously awaiting a solution from Garmin engineers. I am now stuck with a beautiful new one that is also locked! Seems when adding sensors this problem occurs.
Happy over all and has every feature you can imagine. However the UI is a little clunky, it’s not super easy to use some functions which take a bit of scrolling around, also not super intuitive so need to study the videos. Overall great computer and sure they can improve it going forward.
