This watch is awesome! I have an Apple Watch that could never make it through a round of golf without the battery dying. This can make it through several, with ease. I originally purchased an S44, but I liked it so much more than my Apple Watch that I wanted a more feature packed Garmin and exchanged for this. I’ve been loving the PlaysLike distances compared to what I’m used to seeing with just normal GPS yardages. The S50 also has no problem getting roughly a week or more between charges. If you’re on the fence, this is the golf watch to buy!

I got this for a present and I love it. I can’t wait to try it on the course. The other features are great, so I am sure it will be great too.

Watch is great but...

The watch is great and works well with the CT1 but there are some backend issues that are frustrating.
1. GPS location is about 20-30 feet off (Hawaii) so it make the putter tracking almost useless because my location is never on the green.
2. The Garmin golf app. The more I use it, the more it disappoints. If the app allowed my to move my shot location to the greens I might be able to mitigate the poor GPS placement but the app doesn't allow you to do that.
3. The Garmin app. Once you add a club in your Garmin app, that club remains in your selections on your shot map. Retire a club? Doesn't matter you still have to scroll by it. Add a club tag that isn't in your bag? Too bad it's there forever.

Hopefully the GPS accuracy will improve with some firmware updates and if the Golf app receives some improvement based on the feedback we provide in the Garmin forums this watch will be top tier.
