I originally had the Fenix 6 Pro Solar & it was a great watch, but the Fenix 8 is a game changer!
I bought the Fenix 8 – 47 mm, Solar, Sapphire,
Carbon Gray & the new features are great! This touchscreen has been one of my favorite additions, thought the voice option is super helpful as well.

The battery life is night & day better than the Fenix 6, as well as the tracking is more accurate & inline with how I feel.
Overall, this watch is an upgrade that I would suggest to anyone looking for some solid upgrades to their older models. I highly recommend this watch!

Lots of features. By lots I mean loads

The watch works well and battery performance is excellent. The various features are sometimes illogical. The default face has some odd choices and too much info for one page. It is customizable however in the month or so I’ve owned it I haven’t spent too much time on that. Seems to be more accurate than my Whoop strap and that may become r3dundant once I customize the read outs.

I’ve had my Garmin Fenix 8 for two weeks now, and it’s really top-notch. I used to have the Fenix 6, but this one has more features — the touch screen, solar charging, stamina tracking, and power metrics, which I didn’t have before. I’m using all of it a lot. Another thing I love is the night and morning summaries. It’s just a great gadget. Garmin’s quality is fantastic.

I’ve been a Fenix user since 2021. They are great, robust watches. I recommend the 8 solar sapphire for the “normal hiker/backpacker.” You get the normal solar charge, 7 extra days of battery (overall feels longer), and a great sapphire screen. Love this watch.

I just bought the fenix 8 and absolutely love it! so many features i'm still learning about. the battery life is incredible compared to my old fenix 5. not inexpensive but you get what you pay for.

Does not track sleep as well as I think it should, but neither did my previous Fitbit, so maybe it's just me. Does not track naps automatically like the Fitbit, you can add them manually. Swimming is constantly off on lap length, but I'm not a pro swimmer so that may be why. Heart rate alerts go off a lot, but I have no known heart issues. Tracks hiking well. Excellent battery life.

Has amazing features that I’m still learning but it handles a lot more than the old versions. Now you can answer calls, make calls, and text through messenger. Very happy with this purchase
