ECG ability really important

I had a Garmin 265 that I LOVED, but it was no longer being released, and given my new onset of atrial fibrillation, a heart arrhythmia which has the potential consequence of causing a stroke, I wanted the ability to monitor my heart rhythm. My Apple Watch did this, but the battery life was abysmal! Garmin has great battery life, perfect ECG monitoring, amazing features and app syncing. It is also MARKEDLY cheaper that the Apple Watch, and flexible savings (FSA) can be applied. I have been able to monitor my heart rhythm without a hitch! The Venu 4 is a win-win all around—I have ZERO complaints, and using Connect IQ, the face is exactly what I would want to see all of the time. Perfect watch if you are someone like me!
I absolutely love the screen and overall features. Coming from a Forerunner 965, I was a little concerned that I might lose some functionality switching to the Venu 4 but I honestly haven’t noticed any loss at all.
In fact, the watch feels more useful now than ever. My eyes aren’t the best, so the display has been a huge upgrade. The screen is beautiful and much easier to read, which makes a big difference day to day.
The lifestyle tracking has also been a great addition, it serves as a helpful reminder of the habits I need to stay consistent and successful. With the improved screen, apps like Calendar, Countdown, and Weather are far more practical and enjoyable to use.
As for training features, everything seems equivalent to what I had on the 965. I don’t feel like I’ve sacrificed anything on the performance side.
I got this as a replacement for the Venu 3S, which would shut off whenever I used it to swim. I couldn’t get any swim activity saved because it automatically powered down during swimming. With this one, I’ve been able to swim successfully and save all my activities.
However, I’ve noticed that the volume when receiving calls is quite low compared to the Venu 3S, and sometimes it has phone‑call connection issues—for example, my phone will be ringing but my watch won’t.
Overall, though, I’m happy with the swim feature so far.
I just bought this watch. I was upgrading the lily active 2 and this watch didn’t even last me a few months. It completely died. It won’t turn on or charge. I am so disappointed. I did email and I have not yet received a response. I haven’t been able to track my gym sessions since I got rid of the lily active 2.
I had bought the Garmin Forerunner a few months ago but just switched over to the Venu4. I like the more intuitive features & settings. It connects easily to Apple phone & access to all my apps. So far I’m loving it!
Me gusta mucho las nuevas funciones, la linterna me encanta, el metrónomo y lo que mas me gusta es que no se guarda la actividad por error con solo tocar la pantalla como me ocurrió antes
