Nice but pricey

I switched from Apple Watch the the tactic 8 elite. Disappointed that the applied ballistics that raised the price a lot will not work on my other garmin devices like my 750i unless i buy it again. I think that’s a waist. It would be like buying Microsoft word and only being able to use it on one computer. Also disappointed in the navigation. I see there is suppose to be an update for google maps but i can’t seem to find it. Don’t know if it’s because i have a iPhone.
Really like the battery life. Had it for one month now and charged it on e because it got to 30%. I work outside in the sun 10-15 hours a day so they solar in nice. It is also a lot more customizable than my Apple Watch. Time will tell if i start liking it more. So far i like everything but the price.

Great upgrade to the Tactix watch

I'm only a few weeks into this watch and like the features and upgrade. The solar is great for battery life. The only thing I wish Garmin would upgrade is the manual; something bigger then a matchbook would make it much easier to use.

Love this watch! I really enjoy the new UI and the look of this watch. Only complaint is the stock watch faces aren’t as good as they were on the 7 series.

Bought this a month ago as a replacement for my apple watch, this is the best watch ever! Everything is just perfect and it looks really cool, I haven’t even charged for the second time yet in this whole month

Love the watch but activities setup

I love the watch but a few areas like the work outs need a easier way to say instead of like end work out then stop workout which should make it save but then you have another step should be like the runs stop/end run then save not an extra step. Because of this I've discarded to many work outs so far. the ballistic calculator works good as long as you have the right equipment to go with. made it easier to sight in at 1000 yards

Moving from a 6x Pro the tactix 8 is a massive upgrade. I am happy with all the new features and the larger format. There is one native activity I really want Garmen to ad. That is a paragliding hike and fly activity. Do that and your the best thing for my wrist.
