Nothing but issues. Random drops and slow speeds. I expected much more from Asus.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing random drop and slow wireless speed. To resolve this, place the routers in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. Check if the router’s security settings matches with your ISP’s modem credentials, verify if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired with a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. Legacy devices may not work properly with WIFI-6E and WiFi-7, please check updates for these devices. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Also, we recommend updating the Mesh routers' firmware if running with an older version. The router seems to work quite well but the interface is much different than my previous ASUS mesh routers (XT9, AX6600). My previous routers had separate channels for 2.4mhz and 5mhz whereas the BT8 offers only one channel of the various available links. This seems to work well in my limited experience thus far. Setup was not fun!! I don't know what the problem was and it seemed to be quite capricious but it took me over 6 hours of trial and error, resetting the router and cursing to finally get the system of my two AX6600 and the BT8 setup.
