So many bugs

Got this as a so called up grade to my old Edge 130. Have to confirm the sensors 5 times before each ride. Everything is using the latest software. Have reprogrammed everything multiple times.... avoid buying until they have sorted out these bugs that they known about for sometrime.
I found it a little less intuitive than a touchscreen would be, but it is less money than the 840. Going back, I'd probably get the 840, but if the cost is your primary concern, this device works great and does all it promises and more!
As far as the unit goes, it takes too many button presses to make it fluid. Also the screen is too small to be functional for bad eyesight. Luckily it didn’t cost me anything. I would purchase on my own. Would rather use my phone and trail forks app than downloading and having to save all the trails. With as much technology that is available today, it looks like an outdating gaming system for graphics.
a great improvement, love the displace and battery life. so many features I haven't tried yet and so many I noticed on a ride and exclaim it can do that. Looking forward to a connecting to a group ride. a little learning curve over my last Garmin I had for the past 7 years.
I only used Garmin products for 40 years. I am super happy with the Edge 540. It works great with the radar light on the back of my bike, which is a Garmin. I recommend having the Veria RTL515 radar and tail light. This is a big game changer.
The small form factor and high accuracy beats using a smartphone to track rides. The ability to load routing directions has been helpful when exploring new areas. Lots a mounting options too.
Like the additional features, don't like the new interface menu or the small font used in different windows. The 530 I thought was a little more logical and practical to use and navigate.
