Strong and it’s great that you can see though the container without opening it up has great snap on handles to keep the lid down

Great product. It has tight seal and is sturdy. We use to store first aid items, toiletries, and have used them to pack and stack items to travel distances.

I had it for a couple years and the seal still food as new, I storage my dogs food here and it keeps it fresh for a long time. Best pet dry food storage that you could find.

GOOD, STURDY BOX WITH MANY USES! Great value!

Purchased this item a couple of months ago to use as storage for live feeder crickets (grandson has a lizard). I used a Dremel wheel to cut ventilation slits on the lid and around all sides. I also used a small drill bit to modify the box and lid for ventilation. It's super easy to clean-out and the crickets seem to do pretty well. There's not a lot of complaints from them because they know what happens to whiners. :-) The lid latches very securely and the container is easily moved around.

Latches break shortly after purchse

I would recommend this product if you are going to fill it with items and put in in storage, not opening it for months or years. But they promote it as good for pet food storage so it should be able to withstand at least one a day opening and closing. Within a month or two, the latches break off because the nubs are too short. So since I can't afford to buy more I have to weight the bins with something else to ensure bugs leave dog food alone. Otherwise I love Sterilite products and if you are only opening these once or twice a year they may be fine. The foam seal rips easily also.
I see many people having the same issues and so I question why this defect hasn't been addressed or the price drastically lowered. For how long they last, they should be less than 50% of the price.

Perfect size for many things

I am a huge fan of sterilite products. They are versatile and always current with style and necessity. I love it! This particular product is a great item if you want to keep things absolutely dry and fresh. The size is perfect. The gasket seals the container. The seal is perfect and tight, yet it is easy to open and close.

Outstanding Gasket Performance

When I started expanding my collection of highly-volatile essential oils (and blending supplies), I needed a convenient tote to house it all. I happened to have an empty gasket box on hand, so it was recruited for what I thought would be a temporary job. Now I know I'll never use anything but a gasket box, which is able to seal in all the various aromas and also undoubtedly prolongs the shelf life of the collection.
