Let me just put it on front street. I'm a Bose fan. I currently own a 1st gen SoundDock, a pair of IE wired earbuds, and a Companion 5 2.1 computer speaker system. I was curious about the SoundLink Flex because of the fact that my SoundDock is in need of some TLC and secondly, I wanted something that would be compact and portable for my camping adventures. The thing that sealed the deal was actually *listening* to this thing in action. All I needed was 4 seconds of demo at a big box store to know that not only I wanted it, but more importantly, I NEEDED it in my life. Super rich bass tones, perfect treble clarity to match, it's exactly what you'd expect from Bose and they delivered! Stupidly, I didn't buy one right then and there, but I made myself agonize over the purchase for 2 hours before I relented and bought it. Pairing my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and first gen ipod touch were a breeze, as was navigating the app on my phone. I gave this thing a workout going from modern heavy metal, to jazz (big band and fusion), to country, live albums, classical, cumbia, to r&b and the SoundLink Flex made all of it sound beautiful! It's worth every cent I paid for it. I also use this to play my podcast that I fall asleep to using the timer and even spoken words sound great. Don't let the mono speaker setup discourage you. I too am an audiophile (hence my love for Bose), but in reality you might as well be hearing the spacial distribution as if it were two speakers. It sounds that good!

Full-Bodied Sound in a Compact Speaker

This an amazing sounding speaker, especially for its size. I carefully listened to several compact bluetooth speakers prior to hearing the Bose Soundlink Flex, and they were either flat sounding, or lacking in bass, or both. This speaker overcomes those small speaker challenges easily and delivers a powerful and clean sound. In my search for both quality, durability and robustness in a bluetooth speaker, I found what I was looking for with the Bose Soundlink Flex. I love its rich bass, clear mid-range, and good quality high-end as well.

The Bose SoundLink Flex Bluetooth Speaker is my fifth purchase of Bose products in a little over a year. As usual, the sound and quality of this speaker is nothing short of incredible. I needed a Bluetooth Speaker that I could use outside as well as take camping and believe me, this Speaker not only has great sound, but is tough as nails...

Disappointed in performance.

i purchased this speaker to use in the kitchen with a Samsung tv but was disappointed when I could not increase the volume from a mid range volume. This was the purpose of my purchase so that i could better hear the tv by putting the speaker right where I am working when cooking or doing dishes. I did contact your support dept with no resolution of the problem. I thought it was defective so I took it back and exchanged for another. Still didn’t work. I connected another brand of BT speaker (my brothers) and I had no problem. The Bose paired and showed it connected with no problem but could not increase the volume..The style is so unique and purchased it after seeing an ad for the speaker. Boo hoo!,,

When connected through Bluetooth to a TV, we'd recommend making sure the TV volume is set as high as possible. Double check that the settings on the TV are adjusted for providing the highest level of volume over Bluetooth. From there you can control the volume using the speaker controls.
We'd also recommend trying the speaker with a different Bluetooth device like a phone, tablet, or computer to see if you get low volume as well. Aptly named!

I purchased the Bose Soundlink Flex, because I wanted a speaker for on the go, and did not want to risk damaging my more expensive Bose Soundlink Revolve. The Bose Soundlink Flex is now my main Bluetooth speaker. The Bose Soundlink Flex, is simply put stunning! The vocals are so clear, and luscious, and the bass is phenomenal for a speaker it's size. I also use this speaker in tandem with Tidal, and the quality is exceptional. I wanted solid, reliable sound, and what I got was nothing short of miraculous!

Bose Quality in a Small Rugged Package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I unboxed the Bose Soundlink Flex I realized it was much sturdier than I expected. The front grill is metal and very substantial. The rubberized housing is not just a thin coating it is a thick rubber housing that seems like it is built to last. All the buttons are on top and they are recessed enough into the speaker that you will not be accidentally pressing them. The sound quality is exactly what you expect from Bose, crisp highs, deep lows, and accurate reproduction of everything in between. I've used the speaker in my car, outside, and in the house and the Bluetooth connection has been rock solid. The Bose Connect app is really handy for pairing with any other Bose speaker. I've had no problems making and receiving calls and the sound quality during calls is great! If you're looking for a well-built durable speaker that packs a big voice in a small package this Bose Soundlink Flex is for you! I did receive this speaker at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
