Ours doesn’t work :(

Just bought this for our 5 year old and the part that holds the 4D batteries doesn’t work. We’ve tried multiple batteries so that’s not the issue. Any idea how to fix so we don’t have to buy a new one?

Failure right from the start

My son received the toy for Christmas and upon our first use after opening the package, it did not work. We did some investigating by opening the motor cage to discover the motor did not seem to be receiving the necessary voltage from the battery. There was also a random capacitor connected but that is only a minor detail. It seems there is a break in the wire because it is so thin and/or cheap. Only the lights work from the separate section on the top. Very let down because it appeared to be a very fun toy. :(

Bought two and neither worked!

I bought this toy yesterday for my 3 year old after he asked a month straight for it. After assembling, I put the batteries in and turned it on. The booster spun for 5 seconds and then powered off. I reset it, tried new batteries, and reassembled it but it still did the same thing.
Because my son wanted it so bad I returned it and bought a new one today. This time I didn’t bother assembling it I just tested the booster. The exact same thing happened. It was on for 5-10 seconds and then powered off.
I will now be returning the second one. I highly recommend not buying this product.

Only works for a short time

My son got this as a birthday gift and it was so awesome...for the first 20 minutes. After that the motor flashes and turns off. Tried new batteries and the same thing happened (D batteries are NOT cheap so this is so frustrating) gave it over night to "cool down" and tried again only for it to last 3 minutes (timed it) and turn off again. So disappointed since the reviews (now I see are from a promo that happened) are really good. Can't even return it since it was a gift. Now it's just a waste of space. Save your money.

Broke!

Ours broke within 30 mins of building. Light just blinks on and off. Will not power on motor anymore. Checked for something causing it to stick, nothing.

I built the track Christmas morning for my boys install 4 D batteries and the motor will shoot one truck. Then a flashing light comes on and it shuts off. They never even got to use it at all!

Completely useless

Got this set up, first time it ran for 5 mins and then shut off. Since then, only get less than a minute of run time before it shuts down. It’s very disappointing especially for how expensive this toy is

Don't buy!

I expected this track to work with all the monster jam trucks that we have here, but if it only works with the 2 it came with, it isn't worth the hype or money! It also lacks power. The trucks barely move around the track. Getting the trucks to jump over the pile up is rarely going to happen. We've been trying with no luck. I also don't understand what the the triple A batteries are for... I put those in and turned the power on and the 4 orange flames turn on and then right back off... I don't get it.
