I have never purchased legal size paper before I just needed some for my printer. I know nothing about Brightness or anything else but it was sufficient for my needs. I would recommend it to anyone who does not need specifics about paper other than that it be white and legal size.

I couldn't possibly be happier with this purchase. The product was nearly 100% as promised with one small disappointment. On the upside every sheet was in fact 8.5" x 14" without flaw. All 500 of them and yes I checked. I tried to check the brightness but don't have the proper equipment on-hand so I will assume that every sheet was 96 bright. So overall a five-star purchase. My only disappointment was that there was no little paper hat in the ream as shown on the packaging. I had to go about my day paper-hatless so I skipped lunch and avoided the break room when coworkers were in there.

While a little expensive (and there never are specials for this size paper) probably cheaper than name brand and does just as well.
