Extremely Poor Quality - 2 Broken Chairs

I thought that I was lucky enough to purchase the Carder on sale for half off the regular price. Within 5 days the chair would not lean back without a lot of effort and loud scraping sounds. The chair was replaced with the same model. Within 2 days the meshing broke off of the back of the replacement chair and I can only imagine what will happen over time. I'm now looking at other non-Staples desk chairs. Don't waste your time with this.

Budget price=budget features

The chair might be Ok for a child or smaller adult. I am 6' 2" and like to have the seat high enough for my lower legs to be straight. Not possible with this chair. The seat cushion felt firm when I bought it but with two weeks of use it seems to have gone soft.

Pretty good chair

Seat padding a little too thin could use more. Other than that I have no complaints. Goes together in about 15 minutes (takes longer to unbox all the cardboard/bags than to put together). Good straightforward instructions with the screws both color coded and in lettered pockets that match the instructions.

Great chair poor quality

I bought this chair Aug.25th at a staples store and did not take the extended protection plan. The staples holding the mesh started popping out one week ago and the whole back mesh came apart. Staples will not take it back since Im passed the 14 day return date and did not buy protection plan. If you're going to buy this chair buy the protection plan or spend more money on a better quality chair.

One nice thing about the adjustable arms is that you don't have to install the arms if you don't want to; that is they are not part of the structure (as they are on many office chairs). To get good lumbar support you have to tilt the seat bottom forward (middle lever). I had used two other Staples office chairs as computer chairs: the first had no arms and a hard seat; the second was a cushy office chair but the back sloped backward too much to sit erect at the computer. This chair is the best of the three. I could never have afforded it at its regular price but it was about half price and a fairly reasonable deal.

Good (not great) chair easy to assemble

The chair was extermely easy to assemble and the directions were very clear including color coded screws (a very nice touch). Assembly tool also included. The seat seems not to be level even after making appropriate adjustments. Not sure if this is just my perception as it feels only slightly off level.
