I purchased this chair to replace task office chair and I love it. The back has wonderful support and the mesh is nice for keeping cool. Very comfortable and multiple adjustable positions make it easy to find a comfortable position and adjusts quite a bit to fit individual needs. Has great back support. I was surprised when we got this chair in that it was this nice for the price. Highly recommend this chair if you are looking for a great value. It is comfortable stylish and practical. It also is very smooth when it rolls and has great back support. Love it.
Purchased this chair 2 weeks ago. Thus far I am very satisfied with it. It was easy to assemble and is very comfortable. The chair has several adjustments which makes it very comfortable. Time will tell on the serviceability and integrity of this product. So far so good!!!
We were looking for a nice chair that had back support that would not break the bank and found the Staples Carder. What a great bargin. It was on sale for $99.00. I picked one up at the store and our employee is very satisfied. He really likes how the chair sits and is also pleased with the lombar support. Of course once news traveled about his new chair we had others comment on how old there chair is and that they are in dire need of a new chair as well. So today we had to place an order for two more chairs. I would highly recommend this chair to others.
I'd rate this chair higher if not for having to use a file to ream out the holes in the seat plate (part number 5). Something went wrong at the factory with either the welding up of this part or the placement of the receiving holes in the seat base. It was flat-out impossible to assemble without modification. I had to take off somewhere around 1/16" or 2mm or material before the bolts were able to go in at an angle where they'd actually engage the threads of the receivers without cross-threading everything. Also the provided allen wrench is woefully inadequate to perform the assembly due to the huge amount of threadlock pre-dabbed on the bolts. The flat hex heads are 12mm but with semi-rounded off corners even using a socket set was difficult. I ended up securing these bolts with an allen wrench bit in a 1/4" socket. If you are considering buying this chair do yourself a favor and either: 1. Spend the ten bucks to have the store put it together for you 2. Be prepared to do some modifications and use more tools than provided 3. Hope you purchase one that isn't so poorly aligned and slathered in threadlock 4. Just pick something else
First the plastic is thick and sturdy. The chair is heavy and not easily tipped over (I tested it). The fabric on the seat is mesh-covered to keep your fanny cool and heavily padded for comfort. The back is comfy and cool with excellent and adjustable lumbar support. Putting the thing together was a dream. It took less than 20 minutes used only the tool provided and (this is what really impressed me) the packaging of the small parts was individual by step number. Each and every screw and connector was in a separate small plastic bag and marked by Step and part number. So easy. Even the bags were connected so as not to be easily lost and they could be ripped off when ready to use. The arms are adjustable both up/down and in/out to give your fanny more room. The seat tilts back or forward up and down and the back adjusts up/down and in/out. Lastly the lumbar support has an adjustment as well. I can only imagine that the individual who complained about the back coming off didn't follow all the directions and missed installing the part E that keeps that from happening. This chair is one of the most amazing chairs I have had the privilege of sitting in in the past 40 years of working in desk chairs. purchased more of this brand slightly less expensive for my entire office. Well worth the full price and getting it on sale was a gift.
My son picked it out after sitting on a number of chairs in the back of the building. He wound up up liking a termapitic (sic) chair that was listed at $299. We agreed to check out selections at other stores before making purchase. As we were walking out my son noticed four other chairs off to the side of the front of the building. The four chairs were on sale. We decided to try them out. I had resigned myself to going to another store. Much to my surprise my son loved the chair more than the higher price version he had picked out. The chair was listed at $199 but had a sale reduction of $100. The chair at $99 was better than the two chairs he picked at $299. He's happy (hard to do for a 17 year old) and I and my wallet are happy too!
The Carder Mesh Desk Chair is very comfortable and flexible. The price was right and so far I am quite pleased with the chair. My goal in purchasing a new chair was comfort and to avoid a Bonded Leather chair. The new Carder chair accomplished my goal and so far I am pleased.
