Painful piece of garbage

I bought this as a replacement for what looked to be the exact same chair I got from Staples 12 years ago that was comfortable and much liked until it suddenly collapsed underneath me a few days ago—the hydraulic lift suddenly gave out for good. Since I couldn’t come to the store I bought this online figuring it would be similar enough to my old chair. Unfortunately superficial resemblances aside it’s nothing like the old chair. I literally can’t sit on this piece of garbage for five minutes without being in pain. There is no way to make this chair comfortable no matter how I adjust it. There is a design flaw with the seat back on this new one—you can’t adjust it up or down. So the lumbar support doesn’t sit where it should. It’s painful and digs into my back. The seat itself isn’t as deep as the last one. There is no support for my legs and the front edge digs into my thighs. The material on the mesh seat back has changed too. It is now a weird sticky material that feels like it’s going to start disintegrating in a few years. I desperately needed a work chair. I just spent almost $200 on something that is basically fit for nothing but a trip to the landfill. It’s that miserable. I really don’t understand all the positive reviews for this horrible piece of garbage. What a disappointing and frustrating experience buying this chair has been!

Chair has all the adjustments you need: arm support height seat height seat angle seat back angle seat back height and lumbar support pad. Works great for me and my 9 year old child. Seat height actuator is solid and responsive. Bottom cushion is great so far. A padded back instead of mesh back would be preferred. Extremely easy to assemble 10 minutes tops nothing tricky. Chair was delivered to my doorstep around 8:30 am the day after I ordered it at around noon - can't beat that.

Great Chair

I did a lot of research before I bought this chair. Easy to put together and the price was right. I am retired and spend a lot of time sewing for charity so the lumbar support was a key to my choice. I also have 4 machines ( serger sewing embroidery) that sit on a table a bit higher than normal so the highest setting on this chair puts me a the right height and helps me maintain good posture.

(I’m not rating it 5 star the website didn’t take the 3 star rating i wanted) The chair is great except because it’s too small for me. I’m 6 1” and my knees started to hurt. It’s a shame it doesn’t come a little taller
