Lets me sit up striaght

I went into the store to test all of the chairs up to $250 range. I wanted something that provided good lower back support and helped me sit up straight while typing. And since our 'office' is in our living room I wanted something that wasn't too assuming. It was a breeze to set up and took very little time to assemble. I like how the mesh back rest is virtually see through; it makes the chair seem less than it is. I waited until this chair was on sale and got it for $100 off regular price.

Carder mesh office chair

The assembly of the chair posed challenges. The allen wrench provided was not capable of tightening the screws which attach the mechanism to the bottom cushion. I needed a set of channel locks to grip the wrench in order to provide the leverage needed. As well the back cushion height adjustment lock is not able to secure the back where desired without numerous attempts to find just the right spot in order for it to engage. And once positioned the back tends to move a bit making the chair seem cheaper than it probably is. Time will tell as far as durability of the components is concerned.

Was worried at first about having too many gizmos or features. Glad I did! I think it is the estimate chair I have in the house. Lower back support fits me perfect. Wish I would have done it sooner!

Comfortable and well priced!

We have 2 of these chairs in our at-home classroom. We've had them for years. Just now replacing one of them. We tried several others and always come back to this one. The price is right (especially when you catch one of Staples' many sales) and it very comfortable. Love the adjustable arms and seat.

Broke after 6 months

If you really like this chair get the furniture protection because it will break... the hydraulics give out and you find yourself constantly trying to pull the chair back up to full height. So maddening! Save yourself the headache and don't buy this chair. It's poorly make. I don't think it should give out in less than a year of use plus some of the staples holding the mesh on the back are already trying to pop out and there is nothing you can do to return this item so I really feel like I wasted my money.
