It took me about 30 inutes to assemble this chair. This seat’s highest elevation or seat drop to its lowest position: Either 19” high or 15 1/2” lowest. I have two Sit-Stand desks and neither work well with this chair. Armests: positions 1-2-3 are too low and the 4th position (highest) is about 1 inch above the desktop. The seat cushion is comfortable. The cushioned lumbar pad is also comfortable. I chose to replace this Carder chair because my 8 year old KNOLL chair met my immediate needs until two mechanical elements required replacement. Please be sure to place this Carder chair assembled within your store so your patrons make an accurate assessment.

Our Staples Carder chair was assembled at the store so I can't comment on ease of assembly. I can tell you that the breathable mesh back with lumbar support is definately a joy in Florida's constant heat and humidity. I am less than five feet high and share a desk with a six foot partner Being easy to adjust is a must and this has three levers to adjust up and down back angle and lumbar support. Wheels roll smoothly on a plastic mat over carpeting. No complaints after a week of heavy use.
