chair was fairly easy to assemble. there is toll-free number to call if needed which is great. the seat is not easy to adjust & seems to slope downward. the seat length is shorter than most seats which makes it uncomfortable. overall it may be worth the sales' price but not the regular price.

Perfect for short people and great with a few modifications

Being short and more importantly having short legs has caused a long search for an acceptable desk chair. The Carder is the best I've found. I have good back support feet are flat on the ground. The negative points that can easily be corrected are as follows: The "fabric" for the seat is terrible for comfort. I used some fabric and made a soft seat cover. It is now comfortable. Also I agree with others the casters are terrible. They don't roll or change direction. So solved that one by buying the standard size casters at the hardware store - or you can use the casters off an old office chair. It was well worth the price to make these modifications!

After the chair arrived and the package was opened I discovered that the left armrest and star base were damaged most likely due to banging around inside the box. All of the chair parts were wrapped in thin plastic bags that did not provide adequate protection from contact with the other parts. I notified Staples and replacements for the damaged items were promptly sent to my home within a few days. The chair is comfortable and exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. I would have rated the purchase at 5 stars except for issue with the packaging that I just mentioned.

Excellent chair at a reasonable price

This chair seems to be comparable to other similar chairs that cost more. My wife is fairly small/short (around 5'2") and her previous chair was way too big for her. She seems to think this one is a good fit and is very pleased with it. She likes that the back is firm and adjustable and (contrary to what some reviews are saying) finds the seat very comfortable and plenty cushiony. The adjustability probably means it would work pretty well for a range of sizes (I'm 6'0" and it seemed fine to me when adjusted)
