The assembly of the chair was not difficult and the allen wrench was provided along with the necessary screws. I chose not to put the arms on the chair due to the height of the table I use as a desk. It does not takeway from the sturdiness of the chair and you can not see anything from the top indicating that would indicate they were left off. I have not figured out if the back of the chair tilts back by using a lever on the side and the seat seems to lean down in the front which does not have an adjustment. It does have a lumbar support that can be adjusted to individual needs. The chair rolls well on a Laminated Vinyl floor so well that you need to make sure you have a hold of it before you sit down.
