I was impressed by Howell this chair is built and suspect it will last al long time but the armrests are really inappropriate for resting one's arms while typing. Your arms simply do not line up with the hard grooves that are comfortable enough when not typing.

Item seems well made and was very easy to put together. High points for those features. I don't know why it was not comfortable; both my partner and I tried at various settings for seat height and back and seat angles. Nothing worked - we both started experiencing back and neck discomfort. I suspect this could be individual taste.

Purchased this chair for a home office and really hate that I did. It squeaks with every move which is very annoying. The chair does not adjust high enough so I had to spend more money on a seat cushion to raise the height. I am very disappointed in the quality.

Pretty good chair but has some issues

This seems to be a good chair for the price however 1 of the 2 I purchased has an issue. I have one at my work office and 1 at my home office the most recent one I bought last year for my home had the cylinder fail and is now stuck in the low position. The one at work is still doing good after 5 years.

The chair was comfortable for the first few days but seat slants forward/down towards the floor causing your legs to tilt down which is not a comfortable position. Also seat cushion flattened out quickly. Feels like sitting on a wooden seat.
