Simple and Satisfying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Confession: I like assembling furniture. And I loved the ease of assembling the Staples Cartwright Chair. I was able to get it put together between dinner and reading books to my kiddo at bedtime..simple. As a busy working mom checking chair assembly off my list so I get to chair using...satisfying. The Cartwright has sleek lines even though it's a roomy chair and like a firm mattress was supportive for sitting in while working. It moved easily across the laminate floor in my office. I hope the firm seat will hold up over time because I like the sturdy support and it lifts up and down smoothly to adjust the just the height I want. One downside there are not other adjustments available (at least that I could figure out). Oh about that assembly ease....the packaging was aces as was the tip to use the box the Cartwright arrived in to rest the parts on for assembly...genius.

Good Basic Desk Chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a basic firm desk chair this is a great option. It has good back support made of mesh and the padding on the seat is thick though on the firmer end of the scale. It was easy to build and the instructions were straight forward. The lever allows you to set the seat at the desired height as well as lock the back to prevent reclining. One thing I would have preferred would have been to set the angle of recline which it does not allow. It is either locked or unlocked where you recline against resistance. Overall a good option if you are looking for a basic firmer desk chair.

Comfortable Desk Chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chair is wonderful! It looks sleek it feels comfortable and it was easy to put together! The chair arrived well packaged and with all parts needed. I thought I would need tools but the included Allen wrench was all that I needed! The instructions were clear and the parts were clearly labeled. I did have a little trouble visualizing how the arms are installed but the fact that each arm is labeled left and right helped me figure it out quickly! The seat is plush and has a great cushion to it and the back feels ergonomic! The back is mesh so it won’t feel hot even in the summer months. The part that lifts and lowers the seat was simple to install and works smoothly! The only thing I wish is that the arms lifted up so I could fit it flush against my work desk. Other than that it’s a chair that was easy to build and is comfortable for me to sit at for long periods of time!

Nothing Special

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was okay. I wish there was a little more of a description for each step. Even if it was just a summary of what each step was. The chair easily goes up and down. That’s going to be my only positive. I’m a 6’1” female and this chair is too small. It is not made for anyone over 5’9 in my opinion. The back does not come up high enough and the seat is too short. It works well for my kids as a computer chair and is fine for short use for tall adults. It is not something I would put it my office. It also doesn’t lean back at all which I prefer. If you’re looking for a basic chair that adjusts in height and you’re not tall this would be a good option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chair is sleek and well designed. The overall feel of the chair is quite comfortable when initially sitting on it. The seat has padding versus a mesh seat. This adds to the comfort and soft feeling of the chair. The back is made of mesh which makes it cool and does not create a bunch of heat when sitting on it for long periods. The chair is easy to adjust up and down as well as moving around on the ground with it. It moves pretty easily. Overall a durable chair. The instructions for putting the chair together were pretty well listed out step by step and were easy to construct. Overall good standard office chair.

Sturdy and supportive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this chair in the mail in a nice handling box with handles to help ease of lifting inside. No issues with packaging and chair was mostly easy to assemble. We got stuck on a single bolt connecting the back to the base that was being stubborn and didn't want to thread correctly. Overall it probably took about 20 minutes so easy enough for one person to accomplish. Chair is nice and sturdy. Back and seat are firm but supportive. The chair arms were a little wide and barely fit inside our desk cubby but each desk is different so others may not have a problem! Chair is easy to adjust up and down and glides smoothly over our wood floor. It also has good balance and does not tip even when our rambunctious kids get out of it! Overall a great chair that looks well made and we expect it to last!

Good Enough Office Chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box this chair was much more difficult to put together than any other office chair I have personally ever assembled before. Once assembled this office chair looked very standard with nothing particular to note. There are no bells and whistles and it is all black. The chair itself is comfortable to sit in due to the curved mesh back with lumbar support. The arms are not adjustable but my forearms still sit on them at a comfortable length before my hands drape off the ends. The chair rolls easily and is pretty light in terms of moving it around the room.

Comfortable and supportive chair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really solid choice for a desk chair. It’s more supportive than plush and the mesh back is firm but breathable. It was so easy to put together. The hardware was divided out by step to match the instructions and the pieces were clearly labeled with front/back left/right. It took about 20 minutes to assemble with some “help” from my elementary-age daughters. The arm rests are nice and wide-set but they could be in the way if you sit at a desk with low clearance. I’m 5’4” with short legs and I have to have the seat all the way down to comfortably rest my feet on the ground but at that height the chair is very comfy. I like that the seat has some flexibility and movement but is mostly firm. It doesn’t flex-way back when you lean back against it which is exactly what I need in a work chair. It just looks like a regular office chair nothing too special but nothing off-putting. Overall I would recommend this chair to anyone who wants a supportive comfortable unassuming office chair.
